Papps (Pty) Ltd t/a Taglinks recognises the importance of protecting your personal information and as such subscribes to the principles outlined in The Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 which governs your rights to having your personal information kept private and secure.
This Policy sets out how we use and protect any personal information that you, the customer, give us when you use our service (hereinafter “the Service”). Taglinks defines personal information as all information specific to you, which is provided to us via our website or any other channel. This includes, but is not limited to, personal medical information that is provided to us when you register for the Service, while obtaining an online quotation, processing your application, correspondence via e-mail or during requests to amend or view your personal credit data. All details supplied to us by virtue of the Service, any content thereon, or the facility or services offered thereby, will be safeguarded by our Privacy Policy.
Personal information includes, but is not limited to, the following information that you may provide to us: name and surname;
Contact Number and Alternative Contact Number;
Personal medical information;
Email address;
When you access the Service (directly or indirectly and without necessarily registering thereon) we may automatically receive and store information on our server logs from your browser or mobile platform including your cellular phone number, location, IP address, ‘cookie’ information and the page you requested.
Taglinks may use this information to positively identify you when you contact us. Taglinks has the highest regard for the privacy of its customers and will use your personal information only to the extent required in the normal course of business, to provide the services you have requested.
Please be advised that disclosure of any information provided or submitted to us by you may be made where such information is in the public domain or Taglinks is obliged in terms of any law, an order of court, legal process or other lawful reason to disclose such information.

We value the information with which you choose to provide us and will therefore take all reasonable steps to protect your personal information from loss, misuse or unauthorised alteration.
The information we maintain concerning our customers is stored in databases that have built-in safeguards to ensure the privacy and confidentiality of that information.
Taglinks encrypts your data and uses state of the art systems and technology to prevent any unauthorised access to your personal information.
At any time, should you feel that you no longer wish to be contacted by us, you should advise us to that effect via email or telephone on the details provided below. We retain all data that is required for us to discharge our business activities for an indefinite period for legal, historical, statistical and research purposes. We have established appropriate safeguards against the records being used for any other purposes.
SHARING OF INFORMATION
Taglinks does not and will not sell or provide personal information to third-parties for their independent use. We may, however, provide free access to and share personal information with our business partners if such information is required to provide the service(s) you have requested. However, our business partners will adhere to using your information only as directed by Taglinks.
The following list includes but is not limited to some of the instances where we disclose the personal information obtained from you:
When delivering the service you have signed up for, including the sharing of all personal information registered by you for the purpose of receiving assistance from the person accessing that information via the QR code that you make freely aacessible to the public;
When any regulatory authority for the various financial sectors requests same;
To comply with any regulation passed under relevant legislation, or any legal process;
To enforce and protect our rights and property (including intellectual property) and/or where we have a legitimate interest to do so;
When you have expressly authorised us to do so by instructing us to post such details as you want the general public to have free access to in order to assist you in any emergency, including but not limited to putting you in touch with the finder of your pet or the finder of your misplaced possessions; or
If we undergo a change in ownership.
For the purposes of the prevention or detection of offences, and/or the apprehension or prosecution of offenders, we may share any information obtained or collected by us with the Police, other public or private sector agencies or representative bodies in accordance with the relevant legislation. This will include public authorities, insurance companies, finance companies, automotive advertising companies and/or other agencies. Information shared in this way will not be used for marketing purposes.

COMPANY MAKES NO REPRESENTATIONS OR WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, AS TO THE OPERATION OF THEIR SERVICES, OR THE INFORMATION, CONTENT OR MATERIALS INCLUDED THEREIN. YOU EXPRESSLY AGREE THAT YOUR USE OF THESE SERVICES, THEIR CONTENT, AND ANY SERVICES OR ITEMS OBTAINED FROM US IS AT YOUR SOLE RISK.
NEITHER COMPANY NOR ANY PERSON ASSOCIATED WITH COMPANY MAKES ANY WARRANTY OR REPRESENTATION WITH RESPECT TO THE COMPLETENESS, SECURITY, RELIABILITY, QUALITY, ACCURACY, OR AVAILABILITY OF THE SERVICES. WITHOUT LIMITING THE FOREGOING, NEITHER COMPANY NOR ANYONE ASSOCIATED WITH COMPANY REPRESENTS OR WARRANTS THAT THE SERVICES, THEIR CONTENT, OR ANY SERVICES OR ITEMS OBTAINED THROUGH THE SERVICES WILL BE ACCURATE, RELIABLE, ERROR-FREE, OR UNINTERRUPTED, THAT DEFECTS WILL BE CORRECTED, THAT THE SERVICES OR THE SERVER THAT MAKES IT AVAILABLE ARE FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS OR THAT THE SERVICES OR ANY SERVICES OR ITEMS OBTAINED THROUGH THE SERVICES WILL OTHERWISE MEET YOUR NEEDS OR EXPECTATIONS.
COMPANY HEREBY DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, STATUTORY, OR OTHERWISE, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO ANY WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND FITNESS FOR PARTICULAR PURPOSE.
THE FOREGOING DOES NOT AFFECT ANY WARRANTIES WHICH CANNOT BE EXCLUDED OR LIMITED UNDER APPLICABLE LAW.
LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
EXCEPT AS PROHIBITED BY LAW, YOU WILL HOLD US AND OUR OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS HARMLESS FOR ANY INDIRECT, PUNITIVE, SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGE, HOWEVER IT ARISES (INCLUDING ATTORNEYS’ FEES AND ALL RELATED COSTS AND EXPENSES OF LITIGATION AND ARBITRATION, OR AT TRIAL OR ON APPEAL, IF ANY, WHETHER OR NOT LITIGATION OR ARBITRATION IS INSTITUTED), WHETHER IN AN ACTION OF CONTRACT, NEGLIGENCE, OR OTHER TORTIOUS ACTION, OR ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH THIS AGREEMENT, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION ANY CLAIM FOR PERSONAL INJURY OR PROPERTY DAMAGE, ARISING FROM THIS AGREEMENT AND ANY VIOLATION BY YOU OF ANY FEDERAL, STATE, OR LOCAL LAWS, STATUTES, RULES, OR REGULATIONS, EVEN IF COMPANY HAS BEEN PREVIOUSLY ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGE. EXCEPT AS PROHIBITED BY LAW, IF THERE IS LIABILITY FOUND ON THE PART OF COMPANY, IT WILL BE LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT PAID FOR THE PRODUCTS AND/OR SERVICES, AND UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES WILL THERE BE CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES. SOME STATES DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OR LIMITATION OF PUNITIVE, INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, SO THE PRIOR LIMITATION OR EXCLUSION MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.
