Make a policy decision to bundle our QR-coded pet tag & subscription into your rescue pet package with every adoption, so that all animals get a QR-coded pet tag, in the same way that all animals get chipped.
Give every new owner a pet tag with an Instruction Card that looks like this:
The pet tag is a sturdy stainless steel tag with a domed QR code on one side and a domed logo on the other (both sides shown above).
How it works
When a Finder finds a lost pet, no need to take it to a vet - they just scan the QR code.
A Whatsapp chat automatically opens on the Finder's phone - with the Owner of the lost animal!

The Rescue Organisation receives an initial batch of say 50 unactivated tags - no upfront payment is required. It is only when those tags are activated and we see those activations on our system at the end of the month that they will be invoiced @ R60 per tag, and only for the tags sold in that month.
They will already have received R100 for the tag, since the cost of the tag is included in the overall price that the new owner paid (which will have been increased by R100 to cover the annual fee of R100 for the next 12 months).
So with every initial sale, they immediately raise R40 per tag. And if next year the owner agrees to renew that tag (as described on the Information Card), they will receive another R40 from the same tag. And every year thereafter for as long as the owner renews!
