How taglinks works for I.C.E. License Discs

In an emergency situation a Good Samaritan or Paramedic will scan the QR code on your license disc to make contact with your next of kin and view your vital personal medical information.

You may wish to subscribe to the Taglinks keyring service. This is a Shell-branded taglink that you would attach to your keyring - it displays the same QR code as the one on your licence disc. So it is an alternative source of information in an emergency if the license disc is damaged.

But in addition it is a way to always get your keys back safely if they are lost and found by a Good Samaritan. Given that keys are often extremely expensive to replace these days, this is a subscription that could save your life in an emergency, and save you money if you misplace your keys. It works like this:

1. A Finder of your lost keys will scan the QR code.

2. That opens a Whatsapp chat directly with you on their phone.

3. They send you a Whatsapp message to return the keys.
